Scientific Research Institute – Federal Research Centre for Projects Evaluation and Consulting Services (SRI FRCEC) was established in 1991 as a multidisciplinary expert organization. It is administered by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The main areas of research and production activities of the Institute are:- organization and conduct of state examination of scientific, technical and innovative projects and their results;
- scientific, methodological, organizational and technical support for the activities of the Council on Grants of the President of the Russian Federation for young Russian scientists and leading scientific schools of Russia;
- accounting and monitoring of small innovative enterprises in the scientific and educational sphere;
- monitoring of the innovation infrastructure of the Russian Federation and comparative analysis of regional innovation systems;
- development and support of information resources;
- implementation of measures to ensure national security.
